RT Enrollment and Admission
Requirements
KCKCC Respiratory Therapy Programs Require
Enrollment is open to all qualified students according to the following list. Classes are filled on a first come, first served basis from among all qualified students. Classes often fill early. Therefore it is recommended that students wanting to start in August should complete the following by April. Students wanting to start in January should complete the following by November.

| Full admission to a Respiratory Therapy program is determined when the following are done.** |

*A grade of "C" or better is required in pre-requisite and RSCR classes. Completion of all pre-requisites is necessary for the RRT Accelerated Track. Completion of all pre-requisites is necessary before completing any other KCKCC Respiratory Therapy Program.
**Results from a Criminal Background Check or RT Program Health Assessment may affect your ability to access clinical settings, and thus affect your ability to complete a KCKCC Respiratory Therapy Program.
Additional CRT Program Requirement
A grade point average of 2.5 or better is required.
Additional RRT Traditional (CRT plus Bridge) Requirement
A grade point average of 2.5 or better is required.
Additional RRT Accelerated Requirement
A grade point average above 3.0 is required.
Additional RRT Transfer Bridge Requirements
A grade point average of 2.5 or better is required.
An Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required, unless seeking a RT degree from KCKCC.
A Certified Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC is required.
