Short Biography

I have been teaching full time at Kansas City Kansas Community College since 1992. My main area of instruction is microbiology and nutrition. While at KCKCC I have also taught U.S. History to 1877, General Biology, and Physiology. I started my teaching career in microbiology and nutrition part time at Maple Woods, Johnson County Community College, and KCKCC in 1991.

I “retired” from the Union Pacific Railroad after twenty years of service as a switchmen, brakeman, conductor and yardmaster in Wyandotte County from 1972 until 1992.

My hobbies include vegetarian cooking, listening to live jazz, watching baseball, camping, photography, foreign films, reading history and visiting anything historical.
