Two Kansas City Kansas Community College freshmen infielders have earned back-to-back Region VI softball Player of the Week honors.
Briannah Williams was named Player of the Week for the first week of April and Jenyce Spence the second week of the month.
A third baseman from Highland Park in Topeka, Williams drove in 11 runs in three games while hitting .538 with a slugging percentage of .753. She also played errorless defense during the week and had a batting average of .449 with 18 RBI, four doubles, two triples and two home runs.
A shortstop from Baxter Springs, Spence hit .625 the past week with 13 RBI, two home runs and a triple. She also played flawless defense and turned in three double plays.
